Water at work
Saving water is everyone’s business – and while recent rainfall has allowed an easing of restrictions , it is still important for everyone to save water.
Across South East Queensland business, industry and government agencies account for around 30% of our region’s water use.
We have now moved to Target 170 (high level restrictions), which allows household residents to use slightly more water. However, business and industry still need to play their part in saving water at work:
- Business owners and operators must achieve permanent water savings
- Employees should replicate their home water saving behaviours and audit their workplace with a simple checklist
It is the simple things that make a difference.
