 Conrad Jupiters Casino on the Gold Coast has reduced its potable water consumption by an impressive 37 percent (based on consumption from 2001 to June 2006). 

Conrad Jupiters takes a proactive approach to environmental sustainability using the latest environmentally friendly technology available.  Water conservation is a part of their daily operational procedures and responsible water management is top of mind in the planning and design of future development.

Guests at Conrad Jupiters are also encouraged to save water through signage and promotion of local water conservation strategies around the property. 

Their Water Efficiency Management Plan (approved in August 2007) details ways to reduce water consumption across all facets of operation and recognises the Gold Coast City Council Water Conservation Model with strategies and comprehensive action plans to keep consumption to a minimum. Key initiatives include:

  • Water efficient fittings on showers, taps and urinals
  • Installation of recycled water treatment facility for garden irrigation  
  • Installation of dual flush toilet systems ongoing part of a $16 million hotel refurbishment.
  • Approved plans to install rainwater harvesting for swimming pool top up.
